FloSports has acquired the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Both sides confirmed the transaction on Thursday at the PRI show in Indianapolis.
The future of the LOMLDS was in question when Lucas Oil founder Forrest Lucas passed away earlier this year. That question was finally answered on Thursday.
And with the move, Lucas Oil will continue to be the series’ title sponsor in an exclusive, multi-year deal. No terms were disclosed.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has been one of the most recognizable names in motorsports. The series recently released their 2026 schedule a few weeks ago. A total of 58 races at 26 tracks are on the schedule beginning with the annual Florida-Georgia Speedweeks that starts at All-Tech Speedway on February 18. The schedule concludes with the Dirt Track World Championship at West Virginia Motor Speedway on October 17-18.
The entire LOLMDS team will stay in place for the upcoming season to provide a seamless transition in ownership.
FloSports covers a variety of sporting events outside of racing. Soccer, hockey, wrestling, and track and field are just some of the sporting events FloSports covers. Now, with the acquisition of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, it gives FloSports two high profile racing series under their umbrella including the High Limit Racing series.
