Mike Marlar Set to Drive NASCAR Truck at Eldora

Mike Marlar is slated to drive the No. 33 Reaume Brothers Racing truck at Eldora

The entry list posted on the NASCAR-themed Jayski.com website for the upcoming 7th annual Eldora Dirt Derby event for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Trucks Series shows that veteran Dirt Late Model competitor Mike Marlar is listed as the driver for the No. 33 Reaume Brothers Racing Toyota Tundra. It had been previously announced that the Winfield, Tenn. native will also wheel a Big-Block Modified in the SuperDIRTcar Series race at the famed track located in Rossburg, OH on Wednesday evening.

Marlar is a two-time winner of the prestigious Knoxville Late Model Nationals held annually at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA. The 41-year-old driver was the World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion in 2018.

Marlar is in the midst of one of his best season as a Dirt Late Model driver having won three Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series features as a part-time competitor on that tour and he is coming off of a recent runner-up finish in the highly regarded WoO Late Models sanctioned Prairie Dirt Classic at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Illinois. The No. 157 machine also collected a win on the Summer Nationals “Hell Tour” earlier this season.

The No. 33 truck has entered all 14 NGOTS races contested so far in 2019 with a high finish of sixth in the season opening race at the Daytona International Speedway with Josh Reaume behind the wheel. Marlar will be the seventh driver this season to pilot the machine.

This will be Marlar’s first race on the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
