No regrets for John Hunter Nemechek after move from Cup to Trucks

Making it to the NASCAR Cup Series is typically considered the pinnacle for most American stock car racers. Getting there, even with one of the teams that may not be considered top tier, is often thought to be the realization of a life-long dream. To voluntarily leave the sport’s top level for the purpose of dropping down to one of the lower divisions would be considered by most within the sport as unthinkable. But at the end of the 2020 season, dropping down is exactly what John Hunter Nemechek did when he announced his intention to leave the Front Row…

Kurt Busch now has to be counted among Vegas favorites

That said, however, any driver who races close to home will likely feel some added pressure to perform well in front of the people he/she grew up racing in front of on some local short track or karting facility. Kurt Busch felt that pressure every time the NASCAR Cup Series came to…

Super Speedway races should be renamed the Manufacturer 500

Over the past several seasons it has become abundantly clear that the three auto manufacturers involved in the NASCAR Cup Series intend for their drivers to work to together to produce the best possible result at the sport’s two super speedway tracks. And this most recent Daytona 500 provided a clear example that nothing has changed in that regard.
