Brad May scores World Series win on night 3 at New Smyrna

The third night of the World Series of Asphalt was contested at New Smyrna Speedway with the Super Late Model machines again taking to the track on Sunday evening. Home state racer Brad May earned the victory in that class and left the New Smyrna Beach, FL facility with the points lead in the nine-night series. Justin Mondeik was quickest in qualifying for the SLM division as he turned a lap in 17.701 seconds around the historic half-mile track located not far from the Daytona International Speedway. The New Smyrna Speedway played host to the World Series of Asphalt for the second of what is scheduled to be nine nights of racing on the track located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Gateway Nationals Further Uniting the Worlds of Dirt and NASCAR

This weekend’s Arizona Sport Shirts Gateway Dirt Nationals racing event held in the former home of the NFL’s Rams franchise when that team still played in St. Louis is bringing together two parts of the racing world that do not always fit on the same page.
